There is no obligation for you to do anything beyond ensuring I get the correct information.

This new website is only a few weeks old. To help my "new baby" grow big and strong, it needs to be fed lots of healthy suggestions for products that should appear in the directory, so that it can lead a long, useful and meaningful life. Please include the following info to be listed in the directory (free, by the way).

	Name and direct telephone number
	Company name
	Product brand name
	Product type
	State for the record, which product ranges are made in the UK. (if all products are British made, just state "all products")
	Similarly, please state if the company is British owned (definition)
	Product's website address
	A couple of lines of text that you would like to appear in your listing.

This is what you will receive according to your status, all are without charge:

Standard Company Status:

Criteria: Some branded products made in Britain.

Benefits: A link to your website. A couple of lines of text for you to highlight your company or product. A note of which product ranges are made in UK.

Commended Company Status:

Criteria: All branded products developed and made in Britain.
British owned company. (definition)

Benefits: As above, plus you will be highlighted as "Commended" with the use of

symbols. Mention is made of your British ownership.

Excellence Awarded Company Status:

Criteria: Previous criteria, plus use of only British made principal raw materials, components or ingredients in manufacture where humanly possible. Strategies for buying British made items for running the business, (buying British made company fleet cars, for instance)

symbols highlighting your listing. I have not figured out what the rewards for this level would be yet (but pretty much anything you want!).

The following benefits are also available to all three status levels..... again, totally free.

Periodically, I will select a company and make them the BBB Featured Company. They will have a clickable banner advert at the top of every page. The banner will link to a full page feature on the company or their product. They can have their marketing people write it or approve something written by me.
To be frank, my choice of company will largely depend on how easy they are to deal with (I have a business to run too, so time is at a premium).

If you have a piece of positive news (an award perhaps or the development of a groundbreaking product), I will place a full page News Article on the home page.

All of the above are free and I am very happy provide this service to any company that meets the criteria. However, I am offering a full page advert accessible from your listing as a feature for £40 per year as a donation to the campaign in an attempt to try and off-set some of the costs associated with web hosting, bandwidth, research, postage costs etc, which are amassing at an alarming rate.

This is a wonderful opportunity to tailor "your story" to meet the very specific buying motives of visitors to this website.
My only requirement is that, if a product is featured, it must be one from your range that is made in Britain. See sample

PS (and this is the nasty bit). I feel a lot of consumers are becoming increasingly confused over which products are British made, I have no wish to add to the confusion.

For this reason, all information given by companies is double checked to the best of my ability. Any company found deliberately providing me with false information to get listed, will have their name added to the "rogues gallery" area instead.
Thankfully, I am confident that this area will remain empty :-) Adrian.
