Where's the
fastest road car in the world made?
Great Britain
of course!.... by Ultima
The
British designed and built Ultima GTR supercar is officially the
fastest road car in the world having smashed the world record
for the third consecutive year.
This Leicestershire based car company has certainly dispelled
the popular assumption that all supercars come from Italy.
"The Ultima GTR is an amazing road car. It has broken just about every single speed record there is to
break."
Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear
Ultima Sports Ltd, the current world record holders, have for the third
year running smashed the world record for sprinting to 100mph and back to zero again in the all conquering, multiple world record holding 200mph Ultima GTR.
Driven by Ultima Director, Richard Marlow, the
Ultima GTR road car set a new world record time of a staggering 9.4
seconds for the 0-100mph-0 sprint. The GTR scorched from 0-60mph in 2.6
seconds. It reached 100mph in only 5.3 seconds and then from
100mph it came to a standstill in a mind blowing (and probably
face-distorting) 3.6 seconds! Each of these facts are all in themselves road car world record times.
Visit the Ultima website to find
out more about these incredible cars. You will find image, text
and video presentations of the cars and the engineers who build
them. www.ultimasports.co.uk
I
would like to give my hearty congratulations to Richard Marlow, Ted
Marlow and their team on their spectacular success. Ultima
Sports Ltd, who are a BBB Commended Company, have proved yet
again that British made products can be way ahead of the pack
....... quite literally in this case. [Adrian]
