British tyres

You may have noticed that there
are no specific tyres noted as being made in Britain, the reason
for this is that the tyre industry is highly international. Different dimensions of tyre within the same range may be made in different plants across Europe or even further
afield, The attribution of production between a manufacturer’s plants will vary over time as demand fluctuates for the different tyres in a manufacturer’s catalogue.
The result of this is that a large part of the tyres produced in the UK is exported and a large part of products sold in the UK is imported. Furthermore, the mix is continually changing.
